8 Techniques to Learning about Self-Help Hypnosis

Even though most of us, including myself, normally associate hypnosis with a client sitting in a really comfortable chair along with a hypnosis therapist that is standing or either sitting beside of the client giving some suggestive commands. In all actuality, there are lots of different techniques for self-hypnosis that you can learn and then apply on yourself, and by doing this, you will be able to gain complete control of your mind.
To put it into another prospective, all of these techniques are going to help you to become the manager of your mind. Below, you will find a description of the core of all of these different techniques, all of which you are able to alter and then adjust so that they fit your own individual needs. Pretty much, these techniques is going to consist of the exact same core method that all of the hypnosis therapists have been using on their clients.
However, you should be aware, you have to be extremely careful with all of the statements that you programs into your mind which are very sub-conscious. So, you are going to need to take your time and make sure that you select all of these statements really carefully.
1. First and foremost, you are going to need to decide what your sole purpose is for the self hypnosis. Ask yourself what you are really trying to accomplish or learn. Just as soon as you have been able to define your goal with the session of self-hypnosis, you are going to need to stay true to this goal. You should never select more than one single goal at a time, and you should resist all of the temptation that is associated with solving all of your problems at one time. Believe me, as an individual, you are not able to do that; instead you could create even more problems by attempting that. By now, you may be asking how should the suggestions and statements that you are going to implant into your mind going to be, bear in mind that your mind is sub-conscious.
You also have to remember that they must be positive and they have to represent something that is good. You should never use the suggestions such as “I am going to learn how to bungee-jump and it doesn’t matter how scared I am”. When you make comments like these, it is just going to make you that much more scared. So, in turn, you need to clean out all of the negative words during the time that you are formulating all of your suggestions and you should substitute all of them with positive terms such as “I really am looking forward to bungee jumping and because of it, I have a rather fantastic feeling of freedom whenever I am flying in the air.
Remember that all of the suggestions that you are able to formulate are going to have to be very easy to remember. Let’s just say that you want to be able to communicate with people better, and then you may make a suggestion like “I am going to be a damn good communicator”. Now, all you have to do is write it down and then add all of the reasons why you really want to achieve this goal and all of the things that you expect are going to happen once you have reached it.
2. Make sure to focus your attention on a point that is located slightly above your eye level.
3. Make sure that you take a couple of deep breaths during the time that you repeat the term “relax” to yourself.
4. During the time that you are breathing out, just imagine that you are getting rid of all of the bad air that has caused all of the trouble located inside of you and that you are going to substitute it with all of the fresh air that you are going to breathe in.
5. Close your eyes and then try and focus on a several sounds, normally three to five that you can hear.
6. Begin your descent into your subconscious mind by imagining that you are walking down a spiralstaircase with ten steps into a beautiful garden that awaits you at the very end of your descent.
7. By this point, you should be relaxed sufficiently in order to being the repetition of all of your statements and suggestions into your subconscious mind.
8. Now the entire session of self-help hypnosis is over.
